About the mbeon project

Whether you need useful information, answers to your questions, or help finding your feet: mbeon is THE app for adult immigrants in Germany. It helps people from an immigrant background to make their own choices about how they shape their lives in their new home.

Those in need of advice can get direct access to information and competent advice, across the whole of Germany.

The services mbeon offers rest on two pillars:

  1. the new, unique, mobile messenger-based advice service provided via an app (Google PlayApp Store)
  2. the information platform at www.mbeon.de

About MBE

The Migration Advice Service for Adult Immigrants (MBE) is an advisory service provided for migrants and refugees. It can provide advice and support on questions relating to everyday life, careers, work, and housing. There are 1,473 MBE advice centres across Germany.

MBE will help you to find your feet in Germany and achieve your personal aims. The MBE migration advice service functions independently of state-run agencies. It provides advice free of charge and on a confidential basis.

It offers advice on a range of matters, from looking for an integration course or information about individual support programmes to issues relating to health and family life and integrating into the job market. You will not be able to achieve all your goals at once: MBE's advisors will focus on your skills and needs and give you step-by-step assistance in making your goals a reality. If necessary, they can direct you to additional specialist advice centres.

MBE's advice centres are primarily aimed at migrants aged 27 and above who have permanent resident status. In general, Youth Migration Services (JMD) are responsible for migrants aged under 27.

Refugees who are likely to stay in Germany for a prolonged period of time can also seek assistance from an MBE advice centre. However, the advisors there cannot provide advice on applying for asylum. If you have questions about your application for asylum, you should approach an asylum advice centre or a refugee advice centre directly.

If you would like to receive assistance face-to-face, you can find the nearest MBE advice centre under 'Face-to-face assistance'. Of course, you can also discuss any concerns with an MBE advisor online via the chat service (mbeon app on the App Store or Google Play).

MBE receives financial support from the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Building and Community.
