The aim of this privacy statement is to inform you as a user about the collection of personal data on this website. We therefore place importance on presenting all the essential information on the protection of your data in the most transparent way possible. If there are still any ambiguities, questions and thus a need for clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us.

B. COLLECTION AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA WHEN YOU VISIT OUR WEBSITE 

Below, we have provided information about the relevant procedures under the data protection laws, which take place when you go to our website. 

1. Log files 

Every time you go to our website, we automatically collect data and information from the computer system you use to access the website. 

The following data are collected: 

(1) Information about your browser type and the version used 

(2) Information about your operating system 

(3) Date and time of your access 

(4) Websites from which your system reaches our website 

(5) Websites that are accessed by your system through our website 

The data are stored in the log files of our system. This does not affect your IP addresses or other data that allow the data to be associated with you. These data will not be stored together with other personal data of yours. The legal basis for the temporary storage of these data is Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. f GDPR. 

The collection of the data for the provision of our website and the storage of the data in log files is essential for the operation of our website. Therefore, you have no possibility to object. 

2. Website Analysis/Cookies 

On this website we use the service “Matomo” (formerly “Piwik”). This is a Web analytics service that is used on the servers we run. 

Matomo allows us to create pseudonymised user profiles and to use cookies. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your computer system when you visit our site. Cookies do not damage your computer system, do not contain viruses, Trojan horses or other malicious software. 

We use cookies to improve our website, for example to make it more user-friendly and to adapt it to the user’s interest. 

The following data are stored and transmitted in the cookies:

(2) Operating system used 

(3) The region in which you have logged into the Internet 

(4) Time and country of the server request 

(5) Number of visits to our site 

(6) Websites that are accessed by your system through our website 

This does not affect your IP addresses or other data that allow you to associate the data with you. These data will not be stored together with other personal data of yours. The duration of the storage is 2 years. 

You can prevent the installation of the cookies by setting your browser software appropriately. However, we point out that in this case, not all functions of this website can be used in full. 

As an alternative to the browser add-on, you can also prevent the collection of data by Matomo by clicking on the button below. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent the future collection of your data when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is only valid in this browser and only for our website and is stored on your device. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you must reset the opt-out cookie. 

The use of Matomo is required for the aforementioned purposes to protect our legitimate interests as well as those of third parties under Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. f GDPR. This means that there is no possibility for you to object. 

3. Third party contents

a. Google Maps

On our website, we include the “Google Maps” service provided by Google LLC., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. Google Maps is used to visually display geographic information in interactive maps. When using Google Maps, Google will also collect, process and use data about the use of the maps functions by the visitors to websites.

The data are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest, i.e. the optimisation of the products and services we offer, and our website, according to Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. f GDPR.

This data storage is revoked via the opt-out function:  adssettings.google.com/authenticated.

b. YouTube

On our website, we include the service “YouTube” provided by YouTube LLC., 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. YouTube, LLC is a subsidiary of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

On some pages of our website, we use plug-ins from YouTube. When you access a page with a plug-in, a connection is made to the YouTube servers and the plug-in is displayed. This notifies the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of YouTube, YouTube assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the plug-in, for example by clicking on the Start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube user account and other user accounts of YouTube LLC and Google Inc. before using our website, and by deleting the relevant cookies of these companies.

c. Vimeo

On our website, we include the service “Vimeo”, which is provided by Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

On some pages of our website, we use plug-ins from Vimeo. When you access a page with such a plug-in, a connection is made to the Vimeo servers and the plug-in is displayed. This notifies the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged in as a member of Vimeo, Vimeo assigns this information to your personal user account. When using the plug-in, for example by clicking on the Start button of a video, this information is also assigned to your user account. You can prevent this by logging out of your Vimeo user account prior to using our website and deleting the relevant cookies from Vimeo.

d. Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)

In our website, we use active JavaScript contents from external providers, known as content delivery networks. By accessing our pages, these external providers may receive personal information about your visit to our website. It is possible that these data may be processed outside the EU. You can prevent this by installing a JavaScript blocker such as the browser plug-in ‘NoScript’ or by disabling JavaScript in your browser. This may result in functional restrictions on websites that you visit.

e. Facebook

On our pages, plug-ins of the social network Facebook, provided by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA, have been integrated. You can recognise the Facebook plug-ins by the Facebook logo or the “like” button on our site. An overview of the Facebook plug-ins can be found here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When you visit our website, the plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. This gives Facebook the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like button” while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the contents of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate the visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that as a provider of these pages we do not receive any knowledge of the contents of the transmitted data and their use by Facebook. C. CONTACT

You can contact us electronically by e-mail. In this case, the data that you send by e-mail will be transferred to and saved by us.

This means specifically:

(2) Date of contact

(3) Your e-mail address

(4) Any further data that you provide us with

If you send us an e-mail and are interested in our offers, the legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. b GDPR, and otherwise Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. f GDPR.

Any such data transmitted to us will be used only for the purpose of the conversation and are not passed onto third parties.

We will erase these data if they are no longer needed for the respective purpose. That is, if the exchange of correspondence with you via e-mail has terminated and we have fully processed your request.

You can revoke your consent to the processing of your data at any time. In this case, please contact us using one of the above-mentioned options. In the event of revocation, all your personal data stored for the purpose of making contact will be deleted.

D. REGISTRATION

MBE consultants can register to set up a user account with us in order to use our protected area.

The data provided by you will only be used for the purpose of using the services offered. The data stored in the course of registration will not be passed onto third parties, unless this is necessary for the fulfilment of the contractual purpose.

When you register, the following data are stored:

(1) Your name/your chosen user name

(2) Your email address

as well as additional data:

(3) Employment-related data (association, institution, region, language competence, expertise, special emphasis)

(4) Profile picture

Prior to sending the registration, your consent will be obtained and referred to this privacy statement (Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. a GDPR).

It is possible to delete the user account and thus to object to and stop the data processing at any time.

E. RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECTS

If we have processed personal data as set out in Art. 4 lit. 1 GDPR from you, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you have the following rights against us:

(1) Art. 15 GDPR - Right of access: You can request information about your personal data processed by us. In particular, you can request to receive information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing or objection, the existence of a right of appeal, the origin of your data if they have not been collected by us, as well as the existence of an automated decision-making process, including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information on its details.

(2) Art. 16 GDPR - Right to rectification: You can immediately request the rectification of inaccuracies or the completion of your personal data stored by us.

(3) Art. 17 GDPR - Right to erasure: You may request the erasure of your personal data stored by us, unless the processing is necessary for the exercise of the right to freedom of expression and information, for the fulfilment of a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims.

(4) Art. 18 GDPR - Right to restriction of processing: You may request the restriction of the processing of your personal data, insofar as the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, the processing is unlawful, but you do not consent to them being erased and we no longer need the data, but you need them to assert, exercise or defend legal claims, or you have lodged an objection against the processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR.

(5) Art. 20 GDPR - Right to data portability: You can obtain your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or request that they be transferred to another controller.

(6) Art. 7 para. 3 GDPR - Right to withdraw: You may at any time revoke the consent you have previously given to us. As a result, we are not allowed to continue the data processing based on this consent for the future.

(7) Art. 77 GDPR - Right to lodge a complaint: You can complain to your supervisory authority. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual whereabouts, your workplace, or our own business location.

F. RIGHT OF OBJECTION

Provided your personal data are processed based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 cl. 1 lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR insofar as there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or if the objection is made against direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without stating any particular situation.
